Ray, this handle material was sent to me by the customer to put on his knife, thats where I got the idea about wanting to dye it, the other side is brown, black, orange and green, really beautiful piece of bone, I just wish I could figure out how they did it. I e-mailed wssi and they don't want to stabilize it if you dye it so I'm going to send a few pieces just to get the clear process done. It looks a lot like ivory.

Robert, no, I'm getting ready to start some pattern welded stuff real soon.I needed to take a little break from damascus, but the interest is coming back, I've had time to come up with a few crazy ideas I want to try.

Don, I use a 1" wheel. These were both orders and I haven't made any damascus for a little while now, everyones been ordering plain steel knives, but I'm getting cans lined up and ready to fill.
