IT WAS MY PLAN TO GET THESE 2--AND SELL OFF THE ONE I LIKED "LEAST"

WELL--THAT WILL NOT BE HAPPENING--AS I LOVE THEM BOTH.:D

THE HUDSON BAY IS A BETTER ALL AROUND KNIFE-ESPECIALLY IN THE KITCHEN--

-BUT THE CAMP KNIFE IS MORE SECURE WITH THE FRONT LANYARD(MY FIRST).

BOTH CUT GREAT--DIFFERENCE IS MINOR IN "CUTTING" SMALL DIAMETER WOOD AND CARDBOARD TUBING(WILL TEST THIS WEEKEND ON LARGER TREES)

BIGGEST DIFFERENCE IS "ERGONOMICS"---ALTHOUGH BOTH FEEL GREAT.

GOTTA SELL OFF SOME OTHERS TO HELP PAY FOR MY ADDICTION

MORE PHOTOS WILL FOLLOW THIS WEEKEND WHEN I TEST THEM ON LARGER TREES....

SINCERELY-----

*WORLDS BEST UNOFFICIAL SIEGLE KNIFE TESTER*(OK--AT LEAST IN TEXAS)

Great little review or two not so little knives.

I too really like the Hudson Bay knife! Keep it!

Took those 2 Siegle's out-as well as another Siegle--and 5 other knives.(8 TOTAL)

Got everything all set up to start testing and 20 minutes into the test-it started to RAIN.

Will finish the test tomorrow(on the Siegles)

As far as the smaller 5
(http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=7055334)

The Patton was the best slicer(thinnest blade)--and very light for it's size.Comfortable.
The Bravo-1 easist to control.light,comfortable. -but worst chopper.
Both it,the S-1 and the Patton would make EXCELLENT backpacking knives(Of these 5)
The Fehrman--almost traded this off last week. It's heavy-and cuts almost as good as the A-1 and S-1.Like a small TANK.
The A-1--had it rehandled by Mike Stewart@Bark River.Feels 200% better than the cord wrap it had on it when used.(wife likes it the best of those 5).Sharp and a much better chopper than it's size would indicate.Very comfortable grip---but HEAVY!!!!
The S-1...Very light weight-sharp and easy to control.I did not like the grip compared to the one Mike put on the A-1.The factory grip actually started to hurt my hand.

The Fehrman and the A-1 are HEAVY--but damn near bomb proof.
The Patton is more like a RACE car in your hand than a knife. This model is too thin to pry with--but will out cut most of the knives I have.
The S-1 is best suited as a Lightweight knife--that thinks it a heavier one(excellent construction)
The Bravo-1.I personally like the thumb grooves and understand some people do not.Very comfortable-sharp and easy to control.
Depends on what you're looking for your knife to do--and how it feels in your hand.

I did not set these out to compare one against the other(they are too different in design, thinkness, weight, etc)

I have no intention of re-selling any of these---as I'm happy with how they perform.

I do this to determine if a knife I have will do what I ask of it--and how well it will do it.

Will test more Sunday--and post photos.:D

Thanks
Dr.Bill

Dr. Bill, it's about time someone staged an intervention for your Siegle addiction. I think you should spend some time using only a Mora and an axe . . . and I will graciously agree to care for your Siegles during that time!
