I am looking for a 2 stage wine opener (with corkscrew of course) in a multitool.

my father uses the leatherman flair i like it but it feels to much like a "fat mans multitool" with the cocktail fork

Anyone know of a good one like that?

mainly a wine opener with 2 stage and corkscrew

Both The Juice XE6 and the CS4 have the 2 state wine opener, but the CS4 is a bit thinner (doesn't have SE blade and file).

i cant tell from pict but how good are their wine openers. the flair is a thick and wide piece so its easy for me to operate (i would love the flair but the fork just kills it)

IMHO, the CS4 corkscrew assist doesn't perform very well because it has only one brace to push against the bottle lip. Unless you line it up just right, the assist slips to one side or the other, with also a possibility of chipping the glass. Both have happened to me while trying to draw corks, a big nuisance. The corkscrew is still useable by screwing it down almost to the back spring, which allows effective leverage to break the cork's adhesion, and is a better assist than the combi-tool version provided.

I agree that the CS4 combo can be tricky, but I've found with practice (read: drinking too much), you can get it to work rather smoothly by bracing the assist tool with your thumb/index finger.

That might work well for the first cork, but after a few, even when not exactly drunk, I'm not much reliable for operations requiring precision, like driving, surgery (depending ;)) or pulling a cork with a tricky assist. As a general rule, when setting out to get hammered, simplicity is best :) .

How easy is the The Juice XE6 ? I like the flair because of the way it is but i instantly hate due to cocktail fork. (Like finding out your girlfriend is a ladyboy)
