i was able to pick up another great knife & was able to drop one BLJ off for some minor finish work due to my neglect

LET ME SEE IF I GET THIS RIGHT

it's a guardless hiking buddy in 3/32" 01 w/ a tapered tang w/ a very nice sheath

andy & his buddy working w/ him (sorry his name escapes me at the moment) are top notch!

but ya'll knew that:p

I really like it without the guard. Lines are SWEET. A sliver of win.

What a beauty! I remember seeing one very similar a few Fridays ago that Andy said he made for him. To use a Fiddleback word...STUNNER! Enjoy the heck out of it! That is one of my favorites so far.

I can give you the provenance on it - http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...-Friday-2013?highlight=fiddleback+friday+3/32

The orange burlap hiking buddy in that photo (your blue hiking buddy's brother) is mine and the blue one (yours) Andy made for himself. Tricky knife to make since the stock is thinner, it has the full height convex and the tang is tapered. He made three knives in 3/32 with the full height grind and the tapered tang. two were our hiking buddies and the third was the wenge runt on the same thread linked to above. Hold on to that one. I'm pretty surprised Andy let it go actually.

Really sweet knife. You can see me using mine at 7:41 here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHYHLsZHeao
Really great score, Vance.

That is a Guardless Hiking Buddy. I've only made two, and had kept both of them till this weekend. My wife claimed a HB, so I decided to sell my personal. It is 3/32" thick with a full height convex grind and a tapered tang. Blue burlap from Shadetree on the scales.

It was good to talk with you at the show Vance. I'll get that BLJ fixed up for you this AM.

I almost bought that one. I ended up getting a hiking buddy with jade g10 handles and green liners. It was a tough choice though, that's a gorgeous knife!

pretty good afternoon today also

Nice score! My wife, loving the color blue as she does and loving her dyed blue HB, was checking that one out too.
