Here is that LE ATC Tomahawk I had asked about in another post. I wrapped the handle and my buddy tied a Turks head not and I am very pleased with it. I ordered a kydex rig from Survival Sheaths and I think this is gonna make a great little rig. The second one is an old Cold Steel hawk I had laying around the handle as loose from throwing it and I painted it and wrapped it and turned out to be a nice heavy hawk. If I break this handle may be I can send it out to VEC for one of his handle's. The
edges where burnished and sharpened on a leather wheel. They are like a mirror

Very nice stuff ... Really do like that limited edition good score.................

those turk's head knots look really nice. i never did get a Vietnam hawk because i thought the handle was too short for my purposes but i think when i get a hawk from Vec i will get a longer handle put on. of course the trailhawk he does looks pretty good too so who knows what i will end up with.

Joe, Both are looking good! Could you please tell me what the dimensions are? Width of bit and overall length of the head. I've got a friend that was in Nam in 67 & 68 and is wanting me to make him one.

I can tell your awful proud of your dog. Is it an American Bulldog?

Ray the ATC hawk is 8 long and 2 1/2 wide at head. The cold steel head is a tad over 8 3/4 and 2 3/4 wide. My dog and his son which are actually Dogo Argentino's a large game hunting dog from Argentina primarily breed for boar hunting . He catches hogs but he will hunt antything and I even use him for bird hunting and tracking bow shot wounded deer. Thanks for asking would love to see pics a the hawk you make your buddy.

I just added on the cold steel one another grey turks head on top of handle wrap and a black one on the ATC

Thanks Joe! Which one do you like the best? That dog of yours looks to be very smart. I've never heard of that breed before. One fine looking dog!

Ray I prefer the smaller atc head to the larger cold steel one

Joe, Kind of a silly question but I just got to ask it. When you walk Jack down the street do people that are on the same side as the two of you a block away move to the other side of the street? When I got home from Nam I had mentioned to my dad that I would like an English Bull Dog. I knew nothing about them but I wanted the grossest dog I could get. I guess while I was in the hospital recovering from malaria my dad had met this fellow and mentioned to him what I was wanting. Turns out his daughter had one and needed to get rid of it so I ended up with Tony. I saw the crossover daily. I just loved it.

Did the groundhog get to see its shadow before Jack saw it?

Ray people always think he is an oversized pit bull and are leary of them. Once they see how friendly he his they fall in love with him . He has no dog or people agression and is 100 % KID RELIABLE he is a remarkable dog and it is honor to be his friend. now his son is another story he is 6 months old and weights over 70 pounds already and is a bit of a handful. Thanks for asking ray it is always a pleasure

I've got a huge German Shepherd, and while he is very friendly, I also get the crossover all the time. And I really like your dog Joe, I haven't heard of the breed before, and my shepherd is getting a little old, and I have been looking for a breed that can "do it all" and it looks like the dogo might be the way to go.
