Wallace Rockwell just finished dressing up these Camillus Carpenter's & Whittler's for me. One is Gold Lip Pearl provided by Dale Vincent (orvet). The other is pre-ban Elephant Ivory acquired from Boone Trading Company out in Washington state. I can't tell you how thrilled I am with both of them. My poor pictures don't do them justice. A huge thank you to Dale for the pearl and Wallace for the work.

For those who may not know, Wallace Rockwell started work for Camillus when he was 19 years old and worked for them until the day the factory doors were closed and locked (I think he said 34 years). His last duties there were in the custom shop which he operated and managed.

WOW!! Beautiful knives/work, thanks for showing those and the story behind them.

Paul

Like I have said before, absolutely beautiful. Great looking knives!

Wow! Did you previously own the knives and Wallace re-handled them, or did you purchase them lock, stock and barrel from him?

Thanks for sharing. Those are really amazing!

That main blade and polished ivory work is just sick! What is the pull on those blades? Quite lovely!!! No, fact its certainly the nicest Coke bottle pattern I've ever seen. Just awesome!

Absolutely beautiful  Nice (for me) to hear about Wallace Rockwell. Thanks for the post :)

Great score!
Wallace does truly amazing work.
I know my career at Camillus would not have been nearly as successful without his talents to help me out.
Keep your eyes peeled for his work; you will never regret it!

Those are beauties. Thank you for sharing and introducing me to his work.

My favorite pattern! Awesome knives, congrats!

I especially like the Elephant Ivory with the BSA #1047 model shield

They were knives I had in my Camillus #72 & clones pile. I supplied the knives and handle material, Wallace supplied the expertise and since the Scout shield I sent was from an Ulster and the wrong size he also supplied the proper Scout shield.

I've been bitten by the bug and am tempted to order a couple of slabs of Mastadon Ivory I recently saw. How would that look on a Camillus 72?

These are safe queens. They now live in these single pouches which have soft, gentle interiors which will hopefully keep them all safe and sound.

Thank you one and all for the kind words. I think they're just spectacular. I'm glad to see others also appreciate them.
