The BTT thread got me to thinking and I didn't want to derail that one so......

How about changing the wait time for re-listing individual for sale items from 2 weeks to 1 week?

It only takes a day for a thread to be buried back a page or two, but we have to wait two frigging weeks to re-list?
(cough, cough bs, cough, cough :thumbdn: :grumpy: )

Hi Myke - lots of past discussion on this topic. I'm frustrated with you about how fast a listing get buried but I can appreciate that people are paying attention to the exchange and might not be so attentive if the same knives were being recycled every week or so. With no supporting evidence - my sense is that the two week wait time actually engenders more views of your knife the 2nd time around rather than if your listing simply showed back up after a week.

My suggestion - which so far has gotten no where  is to separate the Individual Custom sales into 2 sub exchanges. 1 for fixed blades and another dedicated to folders - just as is done with the production knives. This might just slow the rush off page 1 by a day, or at least a 1/2 day. Otherwise - as much as I get impatient with the 2 week wait I do believe it is better for both sellers and buyers in the long run - makes the exchange more dynamic and interesting. Just my 2¢.

I actually really like this idea. I collect fixed blades far more than folders, so I'd probably check out individual customs more if I didn't have to wade through so many folders that I'm definitely not interested in to find fixed blades that I may or may not be interested in. I'm sure folder guys feel the same way about wading through the fixed blades.
