$20 Military khukuri

Top of the page says "Reproductions of the finest Military edged weapons that made history on the battle fields including a bugle that was used by infantry troops! They make superb decorative and conversation pieces. All are in New condition. "

That should answer your question.

ps... they have an error in their javascript so if you want to look at the full size picture that link won't work.. so I will include it here for all to see.

Looks like a POS to me that probably isn't even tempered properly... but if it is, tis likely worth the $20. What does everyone else think?

Thanks guys, I was a bit confused by the items name of "original Military" But it would apear to be a Original reproduction.

That is a twin of a khuk a neighbor dropped off. Not worth burying...honest. Certainly not worth shipping, even if it were free.

The fact that a four foot blade costs less than twice as much as a 12" blade certainly suggests that the blades are a minor contributer to the cost of their production/distribution, regardless of price.

In a village in Nepal, I'd think $20 US would buy a nice khukuri. Kind of a long trip though.

Looks exactly like the basic kukri sold by atlantacutlery.com
and many other web dealers.
I think Windlass turns out all these.

Mine was at least differentially hardened,
but still not up to par with HI products.
Way far ahead of an Indian lion-head tourist piece though.

Search for "windlass kukri" to find comments & reviews.

Looks just like one my son left here. The blade isn't hardened too bad but just a bit thin and light for a good chopper.:)
