So I've recently picked up a medium grit pocket stone from Spyderco. I'm pretty blown away by this thing! Cuts just about as fast as my diamond stonet and leaves a pretty much burrless edge good enough to whittle hair. Where as my old pocket stones would either cut as fast but leave a coarse edge, or very slowly but give a fine edge. I'm seriously impressed! All I use now, save for high end japanese knives, is use my medium pocket stone and the back of the leather case it came with loaded with some mothers mag.

Wish I found out about this sooner!

Love my tri-angle for the last decade, so I'd try any sharpener spydee offers. I see they have a Double Stuff version with Medium and Fine..
