I've been prowling local yard sales and flea markets for axes and hatchets and have found some decent ones that need new handles. I am thinking about putting together a set of tools with varying handle lengths to see what I like the best, but cant seem to find handles from 20" to 24". I was shooting for tools at 16" to 18", 20" to 24" and 26" to 28". Any ideas where to find handles in the 20" to 24" range? Only thing I have seen is Council Velvicut replacement handle and replacement GB handles, but I don't want to drop $30 plus for a handle. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

It's a good length. I was bemoaning this fact earlier this year. HH does have a 20" handle called the "fallers axe handle": https://www.househandle.com/products.html#fallersaxe

It ends up being closer to 18 or 19" after hanging, and you'll have to do a lot of thinning on it because it's like a forearm...

Tennessee Hickory Handles has a couple of options at those lengths, but they only sell in bulk. You'd have to go through Hickory Handle Store on ebay, http://stores.ebay.ca/Hickory-Handl...=640346010&_sid=7817160&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322 which, unfortunately, seems to have super high shipping costs.
