Yep, here they all are;)...both could tell some tales...between the two of them, ocean crossings, country crossings, days, nights, hot, cold, wind, rain, snow, ice, and everything in between. Opened and closed thousands and thousands of times, sharpened, worn, used, loved. Constant pocket companions, never left me in want of a quality blade. Take care of your knife, treat it like a knife, and it'll last a good, long time.

~1993-~2004 Spyderco Provenator. I keep an eye out looking for an 'as new' one...great tank of a little knife. Long since put to the safe, but still locks up like a bank vault.

~2004-Present. Emerson MiniComm Black/Serrated. Took over when the Provenator retired. Semi-retired now, still gets some pocket time. Edge Pro Apex recently gave it a keenness that got it back into the rotation more.

There's some new 'young bucks' that are taking over most of the heavy lifting for EDC time these days, but these two hold lots of memories for me, and are still good to go if I ever needed them.

Cheers,
BOSS

It amazes me you still have them. I couldn't tell you how many knives I've lost in the last twenty years. Left on truck bumpers boat fenders dropped in the lake ect

Thats awesome you still have them. I still have my first knife which is going on around 20 yrs now. My older brother gave me a spyderco harpy pe ss when I was 13 and ive owned it personally for about 17 years. Its still in great shape and use it all the time. Although a knife is just a tool, i think its interesting how we can bond with them as we go though life with them. Kind of like a first car/truck. They become second nature and kind of a companion we have with us.

Those look pretty minty for 20 year old EDC blades especially that Emerson... ;) Nice choices though.:thumbup::thumbup::cool:

Yeah, I'm wicked impressed by the fact that you still have them. The only thing I have from more than 20 years ago is... myself?

I agree those look pretty minty. You must take great care of your stuff!
