Hi everyone, many years ago I built this very special knife for a dear friend from 200 years old Damascus Shotgun Barrels. The core is 1095 and the outer sections are the old Damascus Barrels. The bar was specially forged for me to my spec. The handle is made of 200 years old Walnut.

I am in the process of building a set of K2 folders from this steel, one mini K2 and one large as a set to be completed soon.

Thanks for looking

WOW
Awesome and thoughtful use of the old Damascus barrel. I bought one a couple years ago that’s just been sitting around.

Did you use a pure nickel layer between the barrel and core? Solid you run into any unexpected issues forge welding this together?

I got someone to forge the bar for me, yes nickel in the layers, this bar came out perfect. I look forward to finishing the two K2 folders I started with this steel, mini K2 and one Large K2.
