I have $200 to spare right now. Having some trouble with decisions. Do I wait for the ZT 0808 to release? Or do I pick up one of these that I've been looking at:

LNIB Brous Mini-Division @ $200
Kizer Ki4423 @ $140
Spyderco Domino or Dice
Possibly trying a Spyderco Southard again
Waiting for some more of the Cold Steel XHP models like the AK47
Something else?

Thanks,

K.O.D.

Gonna have to hide this from the fiancé

I'd go with an Emerson! He just came out with a nice flipper.

***Dude, never mind, I just saw your post in the ever been cut by a wave thread. Hope you're healing man.

That in mind also check out the Benchmade Loco 808, sweet looking new blade

Mini division is a great knife and a excellent flipper. I haven't heard hardly any negative on kizer, but I will say my very early model was not a good flipper, but was a well made quality knife.

I suggest southern grind bad monkey. Has exceeded all expectations. I especially like how a 4" bladed knife carries like a much smaller one.

I would stay away from Brous. My Silent Soldier Flipper has been back to Jason 2X for lock rock....

I'm leery of Emerson, not just because of the wave issue, but the f&f issues plus being only 154cm. I really do like the look of the BM 808 despite my dislike for BM. I've had such bad experiences with S30V that I may just wait until an edition with better steel comes out, if one does. It was six months ago that I sliced myself. Stitches were out in four days, I have a nasty scar and some nerve damage. Still hurts.

Wish I had the extra $50, but I don't. It is on my list for after getting married, but not right now. If I could afford it, I'd jump on a non-waved version.

I really, really like my Kizer Ki4423. Can't beat it for the price.

Here's a good post on it with several pictures: http://www.reddit.com/r/knifeclub/comments/2dovo7/kizer_ki4423_is_awesome_album_and_first_thoughts/

Thanks for the pics. Its good to see pictures other than the manufacturer/dealer stock pics.

I believe the Kizer is what I will ultimately go with. I'll have money left over to put towards the wedding. Flippers and Spydieholes are my thing so this will sate me for the time being.

I'm still open to suggestions though. It seems like it will be a while until the ZT 0808 comes out, and I'll have money from my birthday in April to possibly buy it if its out by then.

Thanks everyone.

Went ahead and ordered the Kizer. Very excited.
