Anyone know the exact dates for this year's show? Every link I follow from a search engine is dead from Krause, found the dates from 2001 but no reference for this year.

Trying to solidify my travel plans, so the specific dates would really help :)

From the January, 2002 Knife World:

May 31-June 2 - 21st annual Blade Show and Cutlery Fair at Cobb Galleria Center, Renaissance Waverly Hotel in Marietta, GA. Call 715-445-2214 or Krause Publications, 700 E. State, Iola, WI, 54945

Hope this helps,

Im finally going to get to go, and am looking to share expenses! I might have a cheap rate on a Comfort Inn, if anyone is interested. Very cheap.

One of these days I am going to go to this show and forget about buying so many knives that year. The problem is that it is a thousand dollar trip from where I live, and I always end up thinking I am better of spending the money on knives than going to the show.

I might get to go at last as well. Danelle can you clue me in on the deal? Anyone know of a good deal on an airline ticket from Chicago or St. Louis?

Regards,

Tom Carey

It's not really *my* deal, but have an oppty for a room less than .5 a mile from the convention center for 40 a night. Clarion, not Comfort Inn, tho. (even better!) Just one room, tho. (4 people)

If anyone needs a hand with logistics, drop me a line. I live about 15 min away from the Galleria.

No problem I have room for people.

Danny is right ya better bring your own darn goat though and keep in mind sheep are not allowed (nasty critters that they are). :D

Seriously, I might have room for one or two people. Have to wait until I hear from the regular "Gus hotel guests" before I can be sure.

try orbitz.com
i have found airline tickets from here (springdale, fayetteville,AR) to atlanta for 156 bucks round trip...although it seems to be more expensive to fly from a larger city.

The airport is in Atlanta right? How far is the show from there because I'm not 25 yet and most rental car places won't rent to me until then. I'd hate to pay a huge cab fare. Also, anyone know of good cheap tickets from Tampa to Atlanta?

The airport is a LONG way away. They have a shuttle. Its not cheap. Tampa to Atlanta doesnt sound like very far to drive, but what do I know!! If you hang around at the airport on Fri morning I am sure there will be LOTS of people you could hook up with for a ride.
