Just caught some highlights in Knives Illustrated
( June 2003 )
Al Mar Hawk & Osprey still "rule the roost"
Benchmade's Benchmite is one fine contender
Buck continues with it's space age designs
Browning has an offering in VG-10 with red ,
blue or green anodized
handles reminicent of a "dagger type" blade. Nice .
Boker still is under the impression it can flog an
"AK-47 commemorative" at $220U.S.D's for the basic
model and a "limited edition" at $350U.S.D.'s
Who the Hell do they think they're kiddin'!?!
Camillus & Case have some fine offerings ( try the Cuda Maxx 5.5
on for size!
) I likee the stiletto version meself
Cold Steel had it's display, but from what I've read, it's
highlight(s) were the Laredo Bowie & their More Proof DVD
( too bad I don't have a DVD player.)
CRK&T featured their D.O.G. ( wonder if it's a dog ?)
folder.
Emerson has a new offering in the form of the "Hard-Wear" series
of knives, black Zytel handles & AUS-8 blades. Three version(s):
The Reliant ( Tanto blade & 7.9" open length ) The Endeavor with
a dropped clip point & The Traveller with a 3" blade.
Gerber has the new Emerson Alliance auto for military &
LE types.
Kershaw had a nice new offering in the form of it's
Carbinier with partially serrated sheepsfoot blade, bottle opener,
and three screwdriver heads, which, according to the, article,
has been adopted by the National Geograhic Society
There's also a "Steven Seagal" knife in AUS-8A.
