Sal,can you give us any hint as to what the new fixed blade offering for 2004 is going to be like?

Hi Jeff. Same as 2003 less the Tanto and the black blade offerings.

We have a couple of new models coming out later in 2004, but we're not close enough to disclose any information.

Thanks for the info.I am hopeing for a Busse type Spyderco fixed blade at a price that I can afford.

U812,

If Spyderco doesn't make a large knife in the style you like, you may want to check out some fixed blades made by Eric Fehrman and Okuden, who frequent Bladeforums. Also, Ed Schott builds some great field blades at Spyderiffic prices, so his prices might be reasonable for monster blades.

But that's only if Spyderco won't make what you're looking for.

I think spyderco would do well with a 3/16 full tang, canvas micarta.with the blade shape of a Native,5 to 7 in blade.Basicaly the style of a slightly thinner BAE.

Hi Jeff,

I agree with Thom. We also must support our custom makers, they are an important part of our industry.

I'm sure you can get, for a fair price, a very nice custom that fits your "exact" preferences. The knife is a "one off" or a "first", it serves your interest and it takes on personal meaning. You get to take your own thought into a 3D object.

Sal,

I'm only suggesting going elsewhere if your company won't make what u812 desires. Be it fixed blades or mixed drinks...

Though a Spyderco Tequila would be awesome.

Spyderco Tequila... ...For some reason the worm never makes it to the bottom of the bottle...
