i bought from cumberland about a year ago, not as fancy as the file & wire i suppose but i love it anyway :D (file & wire envy! a terrible disease) Anyway i actually carried it daily for a couple weeks last fall, not the most pocketable knife but the F&F is perfect, strong backspring and decently sharp. Beautiful knife and one of the few that the wife actually said "whoo thats pretty!"
anyway been wanting to shoot picts of it since i got it last year and finally got the time. 2 of the photos courtesy of my son Liam
anybody else got some?
cheers

Verry nice!

I've wanted a Wildcat for a while now, but can never seem to swing the $$... they seem to be out of proportin in $$ compared to other knives of the same size... a premium on the patter as it were... But I will have one! (and now, probably a red one.... ;) )

mine came from the good people at cumberland knife works
My most expensive purchase to date... (Under $100 w/shipping)
Its a big knife not ideal for EDC but it turns heads when you do open it to cut something :D i kinda like it :D
it will keep me happy until i can discover a real elephant toe! It's the holy grail for me...
cheers

Ivan,

Good stuff. I think you and I got our Wildcat Drillers at about the same time. Mine is a F&W also from Cumberland.

I've tried to EDC mine also...it is a handfull. Someone here in the Traditional Forums was asking around about a sheath for his...wonder if he ever located one.

As to the Elephant Toenail, I have a Case in Midnite Black Bone...it is almost an identical size as the Driller...of the Two I prefer the Wildcat Driller.

Hang in there you'll catch one.

Thanks for the pics.

I picked up the set right after they came out. 4, 2 bladed knives, the Crimson like Ivan posted, Dark Brown, Amber Wormgroove & my fav the Mossy Oak. They are quite a handful as stated. Schatt also released this patter in both the 13th & 14 Series, but I'm to lazy to get them down off the wall & take pic's. I also picked up 2 of the F&W when they came out, 1 normal bone Wormgroove scales & 1 really oddball almost orange pumpkin scales. These have ATS 34 steel ,3 blades & a wedge with 2 springs.

Thanks Men, There's something about this big `ol clunky pattern that I like. Don't know what just exactually what "it" is. But some how it does something for me.
