Just curious, has anyone who ordered this years club knife received it yet? The recent newsletter indicated it would ship in December.

...Hi Mike...I haven't looked at the Newsletter lately but I seem to remember the ship date to be somewhere in March...At my old age I might be mistaken tho... ...and Merry Christmas to you and anyone else who pops into this thread...:)

The special 110 is due in March but this knife was the one ordered back in August. I'll wait until the first of January and perhaps then get curious again. :D

We ordered the Alpha 196 back in July/August. Don't have mine yet.

Is that what the 2005 Club Knife was??? That was before I got interested in Buck specials...It would be nice if the BCCI could put a page up on their site to show the different Club Knives offered to members over the years...Make the page viewable to non-members, too, with a link to the BCCI application page...That would be an effective aid to increasing membership, I think... :D

The BCCI 2005 knive is the 196 Mini Alpha Hunter . Check it out in the June 2005 newsletter.

Join the club and you can dl the newsletter, and others. Full of great info!

Prospective members would probably like to see the benefits of membership [i.e.: club knife pics] *before* joining - I know I did! ;)

And the online newsletters are slow in posting - for example, the Sept 05 is the latest offered online (I have the Dec 05 paper newsletter on my desk).

No complaints from me on the slowness, however. I understand all too well what it's like to be old and tired... :(

...:D :p ;) ...

Hello guys,
I spent 5 hours on Christmas eve checking in the club knives and packaging them. I have about 60 yet to do and plan to get them off in the mail later this week. I also will need to wait on Buck to send me two that were not included. We requested to receive the knives by Thanksgiving but that just did not happen.
Hope all of you had a meaningful Christmas!
Larry

Larry,

Thank you for all the work you do on the club business!!

If one of the ones you are waiting on from Buck is mine 725, not a problem as we are fixing to be out of town for a couple of weeks anyway.

Thanks for the update.

Thank you Larry,
I don't think Club members realize how much time and effort you put into Club related activities. I for one, appreciate all you and the others on the Board do for the Club and its members. Yours is a labor of love, most of the time, lots of labor. Thanks for the update.

Larry,

That's really above and beyond the call of duty...I, for one, would wait and not have you take time on Christmas eve away from your family. Thanks for all that you do. Preston

Having known Larry, and John for a few years now, even though I've been away from the forums recently, I can honestly say that "above and beyond" is just normal everyday stuff for them. As with any large club, especaily one that is as spread out as the BCCI is, there are a dedicated handful that keeps things running smooth for all the rest to enjoy. There are many, many hours of behind the scenes type stuff that the entire Board of Directors and Club Officers do... they ALL deserve a good word and pat on the back!!!

I agree wholeheartedly with the posts above, and would like to add my "Thank You!" to Larry and John and all the BCCI officers, workers, and newsletter editors!

Although I whine and moan and cry, I do appreciate all the work and effort that goes into the Club activities, especially the unseen (and mostly unappreciated) behind-the-scenes stuff that we never see or hear about! ;)

I can appreciate that time is at a premium. Like Larry, the only time I could find for my hobby this holiday season was...Christmas day!!! Real Life/Work took all my waking time.

So once again, Thanks to all at BCCI (and Buck too!) who made the last year as enjoyable as it was!!! :D

...And God Bless you all!!!... ;)

Larry is awsome! I appreciate your effort when it would have been understandable for you to wait until after the holidays. Thanks!

Well said and DITTO from me! Larry, John, and others do a fantastic service for the club and words of appreciation probably don't come often enough. Thanks guys..........!!. And Happy New Year.

Thanks for the update Larry. Your generous commitment to the club is much appreciated. I am quite anxious to get this knife in my hands. After going a little crazy on knife buying in August and September of this year (over 50 knives), I'm going through "new knife" withdrawal as this will be my first aquisition since September. This whole knife hobby is a slippery slope!

Wow! Ask and ye shall receive! Club knife arrived today. Simply stunning.

Thank you Larry!

My pictures don't do this knife justice in any way...
