It was in today's mail.
Some very, very nice additions.
Here's what caught my eye.

Gold Class:
910TI - Interior of the titanium frame is scalloped....awesome looking!

706 - High polished titanium handle scales with Opal Cabachon details......definately a tuxedo knife. Good for trimming the Cubans at a Broadway show.

Bring your credit card with the high limit...MSRP is around $500 on these babies.

Blue Class:

425 Gravitator - Another Mike Snody design. This one will look good on my Batman utility belt next to my 420 Resistor by Snody. It's blade is a 3.5" long, modified Wharncliff made from 0.145" thick 154CM stainless steel. The double thick titanium frame is scalloped on the interior. The handle is black G10 scales with silver G10 bolsters. It has ambi thumb studs. This thing looks beefy like the Resistor. It is a modified locking liner. This modified Wharncliff blade is kind of freaky but I like it. It comes with plain, serrated, black coated plain and black coated serrated blade options.
It's a must buy!

440 Opportunist - A Warren Osborne design. It sports a 2.99" long, S30V, modified Wharncliff blade which is 0.114" thick. No blade options are available. The scales are what sets this beauty apart. It is a combination of anodized 6061-T6 aluminum scales with jig pattern and stabilized wood scales. It sports a modified locking liner. It has the apperance of an expensive custom folder. Great looks plus my favorite stainless (S30V) makes for another must buy!

635 Mini-Skirmish - Neil Blackwood's scaled down version of his HUGE 630. This will be (IMHO) Benchmade's home run this year. A 3.43" long blade made from 0.130" thick, S30V stainless steel. The blade style is a modern reverse curve interpretation. No blade options are available. It has ambi thumb holes. The handle's scales are bead blasted 6AL 4V-Titanium. It has a monolock mechanism. If this thing had a different shaped blade and thumb studs instead of holes it would be Benchmade's Sebenza. This knife is #1 on my must buy list.

10530 Juju- I don't know where to begin on this freaky Snody design. It is a fixed blade that follows a Japanese genre of form and function. It is a 9.40" knife with a 4.75" usable blade. It is a 0.219" thick modified tanto. It sports Japanese cord wrap with red, stingray skin underneath. It has a pewter bone and skull Menuki designed into the grip. This is the one I want to whip out at my son's next scout meeting!
The 440C will make this a sub $60 purchase. This one is just for fun.

Enjoy.

Oh yeah....get in line behind me....I'm here first!

What ever happened to the 670, listed in the 2004 catalog? Never saw hide nor hair of it or the 780 for that matter.

This year's offerings look great, but one has to wonder how many will actually see the light of day.

I've heard of a few people on these forums getting the 670 - I don't know how they did it, but apparently it's trickling out to retail. The 780 was cancelled because they couldn't maintain a consistent level of quality in the finished products. So there's one knife that's out there in small (but hopefully growing) quantities and one knife that was removed for production reasons (but I hear on the BM forums that about 140 were made before the model was cancelled). Hardly cause for doubting the release of this year's new models.

are the 806 afck and the 42 bali still in the catalog for '05??!! please say they're still in the line-up...

now i want to see that darn .pdf-file on their website! aaargh, the waiting!.. :grumpy:

Hey Brain,

I ordered the '05 catalog online last week. Any idea how long it takes BM to get those out?

Not sure...mine just showed up right after I send in my blue tool kit back for replacement.

Holy Cow! The 960CF and the 706 are already sold out! It would be the two models I like too. :grumpy:

So is the 910TI. They are long gone!

However, if you are looking for a 940DM or a 180DM I know where to find them. ;)

Well, they called the Nimravus blade a modified tanto point as well - I suppose it's "modified" in that the blade is essentially upside-down.

On the Juju:Since when is a wharncliff a modified tanto?

Where does is say that it is a Wharncliff?

Oh....I see.

The blade is called a reverse tanto but actually is a Wharncliff style.

Move along....nothing to see here.....
