I just ordered the 2005 limited addition Damascus lockback folder. A fantastic looking knife with both Damascus blade and bolsters, Thuya wood handles. This will be my first true limited addition folders from Boker.
I read somewhere that the bolsters on this knife are indeed stainless Damascus(Damasteel). But what about the blade? I know the Damascus for the blade is made by the same maker that has been making Damascus steel for Boker for years; but again...is the Damascus stainless? As pretty as this knife is, I plan on carrying and using it. Not hard mind you but as a daily carry in the field.
I haven't owned or known anyone who has carried and used Bokers Damascus. My main concern is corrosion/rust. Anyone out there use this steel to any length? What are your opinions on this steel for use and carry?
