Each year the North Carolina Custom Knifemakers Guild offers classes dealing with various aspects of knifemaking. The NCCKG does this in conjunction with Montgomery Community College in Troy, NC.

The classes are taught by some of the most recognized knifemakers in the US. If you can't learn something from these guys then there is something wrong with you. Even if you are a veteran knifemaker you can learn something from them.

I highly recommend that anyone interested in making knives should sign up and take the classes offered. You don't have to have ANY prior knifemaking experience to take these classes.

This link takes you to a registration form for signing up to take the classes.

Highly recommended Guys. I went to the tomahawk class a couple years ago. You will come home with some gained knowledge even if you have been making for a while.

There are still a couple of spaces open for the Basic Knifemaking class with Tommy McNabb and Ed Van Hoy's Folder Making class. There is also plenty of open spaces for the other classes.

If any of you are interested in taking one of these classes then contact me at jknives@gamewood.net

Very nice! Cant to it this year but Geno's class would be the one for me. That guy can make a damn clean knife!

Lots of knifemakers in that part of the country. I've heard nothing but great things about it.

Going to Sticky it for awhile.

I just called about the Forging Blades class next month. It's been cancelled, not enough students. Guess I should have called earlier.
