There are several topics going about the possibilities for this years collectors knife. The ideas seem to be congealing in two different directions, a scrimmed knife on either the 507SC or 505SC, done by Frank Giorgianni, or the etched Canal Street knives that Paul (Sheathmaker) arranged for through Cumberland Knife Works.
For those interested in a scrimmed knife, I finally found a supply of knives that may serve as candidates for Frank and Tom Giorgianni. The first is an easy one, the Schrade 505SC with White/Ivory Delrin handles and nickle silver bolsters. The knives are Schrades made in the USA, are bulk packed, and the person I'm working with had over 100 of these as of this morning. The price is under $20.00 each.

I don't know how Frank Giorgianni was going to do the scrimshaw on the knives, but the next two possibilities are available in very limited quantities and have Ivory linen micarta handles. These knives were made for the American Express Presidential Set that LT wrote about recently in response to Bernard Levine's search for information on them. The top knife is a SC507 and my source has 15 of these in stock, in boxes, and the price is under $30.00 each. This is a 3 pin version of the LB7 and has a large field for a scrimshaw.
The bottom knife is a SC504 from the same set and also has Ivory linen micarta handles. There are 10 of these available without boxes and the price is also under $30.00 each.

I'm not sure how to handle this at this point, I don't have the financial resources to buy all of these knives in order to make them available for the members who have indicated a desire for a scrimmed knife. I also don't want to post information in the open regarding where these knives are, because many other people visit this site and they'll be gone in a flash.
This is where Paul really did everyone a great favor by setting up what he did with Cumberland Knife Works, it was foolproof.
Any ideas?
