Gave up on waiting for 2006 so I just got in line for a 2007 model :D
It will be a long cold lonely winter as I wait for this baby to arrive.

I have not decided on the wood yet since the wood availability is not known at time of order.

I LOVE CRK !!!

Thanks, Sean and Heather:)

Well my friend, you may have done just the right thing without knowing it. Rumor has it(not my rumor), that the 07' LE's are going to be redesigned. So not only don't you know the wood that will be used, but also you don't know what the inlay is going to look like! OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! :D

BTW: If you really want an 06' just to say you have the last year with the old design, check out these two sites...

Yeah I heard that too about the redesign of the LE. I'm also on the list for a large 2007 LE left hand. Also I'm not able to specify or even do I know of the woods they will offer for 2007. I'm not worried about the choices. I'm sure they will be very  I've yet to be dissapointed with an LE.

Will the price be going up?

I love CRK LE's but I'm starting to have a little trouble and perhaps second thoughts about coming up with $600+ per.

Don't get me wrong I think they're worth it, and I definitely want CRK to do well and be financially solvent.

No price yet but I sensed hints of price increase when placing my order "by faith"

When you consider the limited availabilty and demand, an increase in price is not an unreasonable assumption. IMHO it think in a few years we will look back and say "I can't believe what a bargain they are!". At $600 you're in the custom territory and I do have some nice customs but I have yet (with the exception of the Lochsa) to find a folding knife that I like better than the Sebbie. I figure if I limit myself to 1 large LE a year I'll still be saving a lot of money. Changing to a new style makes the older ones just that much more valuable. My gut tells me that someday I will wish that I had purchased more Sebbies and I have a pretty good size collection already. My biggest worry is that CRK will overlook me and I won't get my order in for a 2007 left hand one. But they've always been real good to me so I think the chance of that happenning is very slight.;)

I sure think it would be great to see what the new design will be!:D

I agree -- as a rule, I'm noticing the price of most scarce, non-hi-tech products increase in price each year. Case in point are the knives from the custom makers at my favorite show in Solvang, CA. Every time I go, I mutter to myself, "Why didn't I buy from this guy LAST year?" CRK seems to go a lot longer between price increases than everyone else, so when I do see the increases in CRK product pricing, I count myself lucky for buying during those years when they should have been increasing their prices like their competition, but didn't . . . and the increase doesn't sting like those of other products that I love.

I suppose that means buy used now, before the secondary market starts to rise too.
