Since the SHOT Show in Orlando, was pretty lightly attended (as it always is whenever it's not in Las Vegas), there will be a sort of "West Coast SHOT Show" (minus the guns) sponsored by Moteng, the wholesale distributor, February 22, 23, and 24 at their facility in the San Diego area (according to their website). Most of the major manufacturers like Benchmade, Spyderco, Kershaw, Gerber, Microtech, Buck, Cold Steel, and SOG will be there showing off their new items. Like the SHOT Show, it's only open to dealers (most of whom read this board), but any industry-related business card should get you in.

Although I've got the one with the shiny black coating so I don't know what kind of pen could mark that knife permanently?
 
These are almost the same dates as the socal Blade Expo in Pasadena. Does that mean the Mfrs will not be attending the SC Blade Expo and will be at Moteng instead?

I was planning on going to the SC Blade Expo to check out the new offerings from the Mfrs, but if they won't be there...
 
JSR, the Expo show is usually a place where you will see a manufacturers rep. in attendance, usually not factory people.
 
From the looks of their website, the Blade Expo in Pasadena is primarily dealers and custom makers selling directly to the public. The Moteng show is the actual manufacturers selling directly to dealers. I know of one dealer who is going to San Diego to buy on Thursday, and exhibit at Pasadena the rest of the weekend.
