Just recieved an email from Heather that they have picked the woods for these knives. I ordered a Amboyna Burl large. D@*n, I really do not have the money but will make it happen! Seems like thats the way it happens though.

I'm going with Bark Ivory this year, still trying to decide between Ladder and Spirograph Damascus for the blades. That Amboyna Burl looked sweet, though.

I was wondering if the Bark Ivory adds much in $$ over the other offers?

I got the e-mail also and I'm also going for the Amboyna. I think the large bark ivory with the regular blade is about $800.
 
I was just about to post a question on which wood to pick...
I am leaning towards ivory or amboyna.

Question :
Does anyone has an ivory LE so I can make a better decision?

Are they making the large first this year? Did all you guys order the large LE's?? ;)

I'm not sure about when they make the knives but Heather e-mailed me today and said they expect to have them ready later in the Fall. I have a large 2005 bark ivory that is very nice but a safe queen none the less. I also have a bark ivory inlay that I use as a beater knife and it works real good the ivory ages and looks real cool.:cool:
 
Ya know, I wish I had the jack to get a small Thuya as well. On second thought, I'm not even going to go there! I'm just asking for trouble.

They must be working on the large because I was not contacted concerning my small LE order. Must be different wood to choose from. ;)

I was contacted for my small sebenza LE. I started "standing in line" since early August 2006 though.

Just do what I do and put in on the credit card. That's what they're for!;) :p :thumbup:
 
Hey, I'm still waiting on my 2006 large (Ivory doesn't grow on trees, you know). ;)

Mammoth Ivory Bark with Stainless ladder Damascus. Should be sweet!!

Estimated Delivery is Christmas 2007 or later. No worries, it will be worth the wait.

I recieved word this AM that my 2006 large should be done in ~4 weeks,just in time for my birthday. Good things come to those who wait...
