Without the constant support from friends an family my knifemaking career would be impossible. Many times when I need help to take care of things around the house (because I am spending too much time in the shop) they are glad to volunteer. Rides to the airport, house sitting and just being there are just some of the things that make my life a pleasure. As a thank you, my wife and I hold a yearly Crokinole competition for our close friends and family members. I always make time in my schedule to make one special knife as first prize. This year I have chosen a "Wings" folder since it is considerd one of my signature designs by many. It would be interesting to hear if any others in the knife community have any similar get-togethers involving knives?
I will post a picture of the winner following saturdays competition.

Hi Wolfe,

Just when I thought I'd had my fill of beautiful knives, you come along with THE most beautiful art folder I have ever seen. Yes, the 'Wings' folders of yours are your hallmark. Yes, this one is over the top.

I'd take out the trash OFTEN for a chance at this. Wow. :p

Please bring this to Chicago. I'd love to see it in person.

Coop

Amazing Wolfgang. My wife names your knives "Out-of-this-world
steel feathers"

All the best,

I half expect that thing to take wing and fly. Gorgoeus piece Wolfe.

How did you photograph a fantasy knife?

Your thoughtful succor dispels the myth that geniuses must be irascible jerks. Thank you.

I'll wash your car too.

Wow sums it up nicely.

Thank you for the comments.
Coop, depending on who wins the knife, I will be glad to bring it to Chicago. Some of the winners have sold them, usually to help out with education costs. I don't have a good photo of the wings folder, so it would be a perfect time to get that done.

Wolfe -- how long does it take to learn to play crokinole? That is a fabulous knife and the winner -- hmm, how could he/she sell it?

As usual the competition went on well into the evening. The celebrations even later (much later:D)
Here is the winner.
