Please cast your vote for scale material.
If it turns out the choices are too narrow, we can reopen the poll.

Do we have any idea on what the pattern is going to be. IMHO some patterns look better with certain scale materials.

The patterns have been narrowed to stockman, congress, and trapper.

Like that spelling? I could not go back and edit it, so it appears I am stuck on stupid.... :D

I like smooth bone that has lots of natural variation in the saturation of the dye -- I hate it when the dye is so uniform it looks like plastic (this goes for jigged bone too). A deep, rich red would be my favorite, followed by a medium brown with both darker and more golden highlights.

I prefer a stag. Since our last knife is ivory, my next choice would be a jigged bone.

MUST be Ram's Horn! This is unjustly overlooked, it has fantastic texture and colours, tough too.Suits the 3 pattern choices as well.

IF I understand correctly, the last one was MOP.
I don't think celluloid was on the numer list, but will look again.

1st one stag.
2nd one mamoth ivory.

My vote would go to black lip pearl.

Oh yes Gus, that would be sweet! Probably runs about $60-$70 a pair, which would probably bring a knife in at over $100, but it'd be worth it:thumbup:. The only thing is that of course there's a shortage, but then stag is also in short supply.
