I am proud to announce the line up for the 2009 Big Sky Private Show. Below is the list of incredible makers attending the show. I will be hosting it in Missoula, Montana on the evening of June 26th, 2009. Each of these makers have agreed to meet and greet collectors all day at my shop and then offer knives for sale at a private dinner that evening in Missoula. The goal of this day and weekend is to allow customers a chance to get to know these makers better. I want our collectors to develop a personal relationship with us, take the opportunity to learn about the process of building a custom knife, and go home with some incredible knives.

Following the show on Saturday and Sunday I will be hosting the 4th Big Sky Country Conference where Don Fogg, Owen Wood, and Wolfe Loerchner will be teaching knife making classes. Each instructor will teach four classes.

The invitations to the private show will be mailed out December 1st. If you are interested in attending please email me your contact info. Again this is a private show and not everyone will be allowed admittance. There will only be a limited number of collectors allowed to attend. The conference on the weekend will be open to everyone.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I will have more information regarding price, venue, and schedule on Dec. 1st. Thank you.

Josh,

Just like your first show, you have an incredible list of makers for your second show. You should be proud to have been able to attract that list of makers.

Hi Josh,

it really, really was a priviledge working with you for the 2008 show. Best of fortunes in 2009!

Fantastic!

Thank you all for the compliments. I am honored and humbled by the commitment these makers have given to me to attend this show. I always dreamed of doing something like this but I never thought I'd be able to do it until much later in my career. Never in my wildest dreams did I think makers of this caliber would even listen to my idea much less commit to it.

I would love for you forum collectors to participate in this show and enjoy the events of the weekend as well.

To any of you makers out there please consider attending the conference on the weekend. Not only will you have an opportunity to learn from the best, Don, Owen, and Wolfe, but you will also have the benefit of rubbing elbows with some great collectors. This year quite a few knives sold at the show we had at the hammer in attendees on Saturday.

Thanks again.

Jim,

It was my pleasure working with you. Having you here last year was fantastic and added that final finishing touch to last years event.

I talked to Jim today and told him how much I appreciated having him last year. However I had previously committed to having Eric Eggly of Point Seven here next year. I'm excited to have Eric for 2009. He will do a great job as well.

Again thank you to Coop and I look forward to possibly having Coop back in the future.

Hey Josh, can't wait for next year, you did such an excellent job we are really looking forward to it. I will of course see you before then.
Is Tom Ferry going to be there ?
We still need to cast a few flies and miss some greens (hopefully before archery elk)

Blake,

I had a blast with you guys this year. Tom will not be in the show this year but will be here on the weekend. I'm sure he will bring some sweet knives too. He, as you know, has been doing some killer stuff.

Fishing sounds like a blast, the browns will be running soon, and golf is frustrating as ever. I did win some money at it tonight though!

Archery start Sept. 6 but the 15th will be when the elk really ramp up.

Anyway tell Anja hi and let her know she's all lined up for horse back riding on Josey's ranch. She can ride as far as she'd like.

Take care.

Josh

Any collectors considering this show should know that Glacier Park is about 2 1/2 hrs. away and the trout fishing this time of year around western MT is incredible. Any knife purchase at the show can be shipped by me to your destination.

Knife makers considering the weekend conference should know that besides the instruction, Chuck Bybee of Alpha Knife Supply is always here, and this year Uncle Al set up. We hope both suppliers will be back.
