This is from Queen, they took the stag samples we shipped them and mounted them on a barlow pattern with aluminum bolsters.

This knife is going back to Queen tomorrow for them to reference, but we thought that you would all like a sneak preview of the stag quality we are looking at:

Please don't ask for any more pictures, as my wife handles photo duties, and is not accessible right now.

How does one sighn up for these forum knives? I would like to pick one of those up.

Sorry Mike, the list is done, we ran signups until mid May....we will probably have some extras, though.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Thanks for the update, that is some sweet looking stag.
Will we get further updates? Like when the blades are in place, and/or the bolster is stamped?

All I can say is that I'm glad I have one on order. It's gonna look mighty slick with a wharnie and clip. Not to mention that awesome stamp.

As we get information, you all will get information.

Thanks for the update Steven. Looks really good.
Thanks again to you and Gus for all your hard work.

That stag is awesome!!!

I love the shape of that spear-point blade, it reminds me of my S&M Harness Jack and is very useful. Does the prototype have the wharnecliff blade as well?

On the bolsters, is the aluminum for the prototype only, or will the final version have them as well? I know aluminum was expensive in the 20s and 30s and some of the more expensive knives had aluminum bolsters. I haven't seen them on modern knives though.

Robb....the knife that we are having built has nickel silver liners and bolsters, clip point and wharncliffe blade.

The only thing the photos above show wrt OUR knife, is the shape of the handle and the stag.

Even if aluminum was offered as a choice(it isn't) it would be a bad one because it oxidizes rather badly without anodizing.

Thanks for the clarification! I'm really excited to own one, and thanks again to you and Gus for all your time and effort on our behalf.

Dayum! That's one sweet little knife!

Huge thanks to everyone who contributed to making this year's forum knife a success. You all did a KICK ASS job!!!

Su-weet!!!

It is the only en route (so to speak) knife I have to look forward to currently. It is sort of my Catcher in the Rye. Everytime the thought crosses my mind that I still have yet to recieve my forum knife, my mind's eye gives me a wink of a picture. This picture is now updated. Many thanks to Gus and Steven for all of their pro bono work.
