I know for many there has been a lot of hard times happening these days . My heart and best wishes go out to all of them . I don't usually write about this stuff but I needed to now . The last half of 2009 sucks , since July we have lost all 3 of our family friends . Yesterday was the last and oldest of the 3 . Old age and cancer took them all just months apart , and I have been in the hospital twice and of course the car needed to break down .

Waiting in hopes for a little better new year .
Thanks all for listening to me whine . The pick is off the family lost . They are at peace now and with the Lord .
Left to right , Tucker , the oldest . Sadie , the shop dog and squirt , a little pit bull he thought he was .

May they rest in peace, as they surely deserve to.
I hope the new year treats you a lot better.

Man hate to hear that Jack. I hope you have a great 2010. I feel for your losses. Take care buddy.

Why wait Jack? Start having a better yr. right now.
Go get another dog.
Life is too damn short and precious to be worrying about what happened yesterday. I buried some very close friends this yr. and know of what I speak. bruce

Sorry to hear your having a rough time of it and I know life can suck, but, don't let it keep you down. Let me put it in perspective, your 2009 was far better than mine. My wife died, my home burned, my parrot died in the fire and then had to put the wifes little dog down because of kidney failure. I am in my home town right now for my father in laws funeral. But, I am sure people have had far worse than me. Many in this world live in huts and some are in areas torn by war and starvation. Somewhere parents are watching their children die. I have managed to find most of my inner peace again. It is the most valuable thing one can have IMHO. We can go on and find more good things in life. Your dogs knew from birth how to love without limits and they did. They would hate to see you bummed out especially by them.

When I had to put my friend down, I realized that they live seven years to our one because they love seven times seventy seven more than we do.

God takes care of His creatures. Those loyal companions we've lost have a reward. My wife worries that there won't be animals in heaven. I remind her that God created the Garden of Eden with man's purpose to be a caretaker of the animals and a companion to the Lord, and the Garden was perfect and all was how God intended it prior to the fall.

Anyway, God bless your family, Jack.

And Jim, it's good to hear from you. This year has been a trial and refining fire for you. No one should have to suffer as we all do, but we have a great enemy to thank for that, and someday he will be free to wreak havoc no more. It warms my heart to see your response to the tragedies in your life, and it is an honor to know you, briefly and distantly though it is through the www. If we're ever in the same 1/4 of the country, I'd like to meet you sometime and BS about blades.

Jack, I've hesitated to post because I've never been to sure of how to talk to people about losing their pets, especially dogs. Our dogs love us without any reservations or requirements other than some food and attention. It's an example of pure love only equalled by the love of our children and to a lesser degree an example how our Heavenly Father loves us. No reservations, no requirements..... just love.

Your friends would hate to be the cause of your pain, they'd willingly share your love with another pack member, when the time is right you'll find another friend or one will find you.

Thanks all for the kind thoughts and best wishes . I think the wife and I will take a vacation, have not had one for years as our dogs did not like to travel , except when we got to the beach that is .

Take care, Enjoy your vacation and remember the better times, we all pass but a short time on this place, what we leave are the memories in the hearts of others.
