2010 Forum Knife surge in usage?

It seems to me that maybe the 2011 forum knife has reinvigorated the 2010 forum knife. I think I have seen mention or pictures of the 2010 in more threads than usual lately. I know that for me personally, even though I made the mistake of not ordering a 2011 knife :o, I have found myself using the 2010 a little more often recently (forum knife fever, I guess). :D

I also wanted to note that FINALLY the springs/walk on mine have loosened up a little. This was the single most difficult-to-open knife that I have ever encountered and I actually used a knife pick on it for some time. After many knife-pick-assisted openings and A LOT of oiling the joints, I am comfortably opening mine these days. This has really allowed me to appreciate the knife more. I am not one to complain about strong springs normally, but this knife was really over-the-top when it was new.

The clip blade on mine has developed some patina from cutting fruit, and the knife has also done a lot of box-cutting as well. I have really come to like this knife more and more. Great blade combo and a very robust frame.

Has anyone else found themselves revisiting older forum knives when the new ones come around?
I am also curious if any of you who have several different years' offerings have a favorite among them?

Hi Nick -

I used my Moose on all the shipping chores for the 2011 knife, and carried it the whole time I was shipping. ;^)

I carry and use my 2010 Moose/Bullhead quite a bit. The blades are now a nice dark gray.
Nothing opens and disassembles cardboard cartons quite like that knife!
My blades have gotten a little easier to open also, but it still opens and shuts like a bank vault!
And I have resisted the urge to drive nails with it - it is a considerable chunk of American steel!

I've been using mine a lot also.It sharpens up real nice. Cut my apples every day this week so far. And yes Charlie the clip blade is starting to loosen up. It's still a nail breaker but down to one nail.
