You all probably know by now that the new catalog is available from Spyderco. You can view or download the PDF (and print it).

The rumblings on the other forums are not so rave, but personally I like the catalog. That said, I was not expecting any big bombshell releases.

If you want nice photography and solid data, you will be pleased.

Just put my request in for a printed catalog. I'm sure I'll be able to find something to my liking.

Been drooling over it for a few days now. It showed up in my Brick and Mortar knife store on Saturday.

Thanks for posting a direct link!

Downloaded to my desk top, diggin' some of the new variations on the ukpk and nice to see the FFG Delica in there.

I've got a question about the drop in MSRP on the Caly3 ZDP, the Rock Salt and the Aqua Salt.
I thought the drop in MSRP meant these knives would be discontinued but they're in the 2010 catalog.
So why did the prices drop? Sal has always emphasized the fixed margin that Spyderco operates under.
I'm not complaining about lower prices on great knives. I'm just confused.

Most disappointing catalog ever from Spyderco. Truly a reflection of the great economic depression that's currently crippling the world. Oh sure, the Zowada sprint was a pleasant surprise. Very little else. Looks like Spyderco sees the writing on the wall. Also look at the diminished fanfare this year. In the past, Spyderco coming out with the new product catalog was a big deal. This time the discos and the new product catalog was met with all the enthusiasm of an impacted wisdom tooth. Times is bad. Don't listen to CNBC. This is the real great depression. The dirty thirties were a practice run. 2010 is where this thing is gonna start getting gritty. You heard it here. :grumpy:

HC, you got any poison, I'm gettin' thirsty for some after your inspirational message!

Yes it's bad, but we'll find a way out like we always do. We just need to get off the oil, start a whole new renewable energy program, and tell OPEC where to stick it.

Good ole' American ingenuity is what will get us out of this recession!:D

Meh, I have so many Spydies to purchase its nice to have some breathing space.

Definitely multiple TiMil's though & probably some FRN UKPK's.

Most disappointing catalog ever from Spyderco.

There are worst things in life than having an entire lineup of new 2010 knives to chose from.

Some people have real problems. Illness, divorce, separation from love ones.

Having 50 flavors of knives from which to choose is not so bad.

I'm just saying.

would anybody be able to post a few highlight pictures? For some reason I am unable to open the file on my computer!

Thanks!

Was there a design change to the enduras? it looks like they have a pointy tip again.

Most of the new stuff/sprint runs were already discussed throughout the year, so no real new surprises here except the Carpenter Manix 2 and the Zowada.

They'll be other sprints/specials throughout the year to keep us busy. Don't forget about the KnifeWorks special run of CPM-M4 Militaries , flat-ground FRN Delicas/Enduras, Golden-made Native4, etc etc etc etc.

I for one am not disappointed. My wife asked if I would like anything in there for Christmas. The list got so long she couldn't keep up.

Right, overreact much? The sky is falling too...:barf:

Looks like a great line-up of knives to me. Sal and crew have already previewed some of the 2010 knives on the forums, so the FRN UKPKs and similar models aren't a great surprise. The Zowada is going to be huge and the Manix 2 with the new steel should be great. Sure, Spyderco isn't announcing 50 new models, but do we honestly expect them to do so in this current economy. I'm sure they will sneak a couple sprint runs out this spring and probably release a nice mid-year supplement too.
