2010 Stone Tools Show and Mountainman Encampment

This weekend, while camping at Letchworth State Park, we were lucky enough to check out the Stone Tools Show. There was flintknapping, an atlatl competition, geological displays, indian artifacts, yarn spinning, an auction, tomahawk throwing, and an 18th century mountain man encampment! People wore period costumes, slept in teepees and canvas frontier shelters. A good time was had by all. :thumbup:

This guy was great. Here he's making a bow from osage, using his handmade drawknife and handmade bowhorse bench. I ended up buying a belt axe from him.
