So I got a new 2011 Emerson at the Canadian Knifemaker's Guild Show last weekend.
The build quality shows many improvements, mostly with repect to the things that people keep complaining about over and over. This shows that Mr. Emerson does listen to his customers. So to those of you who say he doesn't, I wag my finger at you!
One additional observation to note is that the liner edges looked polished. I'm a fan of the "rough edges because it's built by hands" look, and I ended up purchasing a hand forged knife that has that look. If you've ever seen antique / historical / ancient blades, you know what I'm talking about.
So how about some hand forged blades on Emersons? Or perhaps even damascus?
