I am going to stick this thread for a few days so everyone will know.

Chris (cj65), Andy (mqqn) and Campbell (cnas122) have come forward to head up the 2011 Forum Knife.

I can not think of a better group to take on this project. All three have my trust and have been part of this forum for a while.

Let's give them a chance to coordinate between themselves and when they are ready we will start a thread for the pattern choice.

I am going to open and unstick this thread now just so we can thank Chris, Andy and Campbell for stepping up to the plate on this project. We are in good hands.

Thanks to these guys for volunteering for a task that will take a considerable amount of their personal time to get the 2011 knives into the hands of friends here.

They all have my trust and respect.

Let's give them a chance to get things organized and wait for the pattern choice threads before voicing our thoughts on the choice.

We all know those guys are straight up and have discerning tastes in slipjoints. The 2011 project should be a great one. I'm excited to see what unfolds.

It's a lot of work in different phases, but a lot of fun too (subject to Eric's agreement!:D)!
I am happy to consult/advise if needed.
If you dig up the old threads on picking the pattern, you will get a sense of the history, and some of the things that were mentioned for future Forum knives.
 
Thank you guys. It will be an honor to help out in this venue. We have a very tough act to follow (2 yrs. that I have witnessed), but at least they have put a slope to our learning curve if we follow their examples.
