"Wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2012 New Years!" A special congratulations to Jerry Busse and the Custom Shop's 30th anniversary of full time custom knifemaking.

After scoring my first AA(first infi AA one of one) and doing some research. I found this from 2002:

Originals were made early years of Busse History. Re-released in 2002 as the 10th Anniversary = 7.5" blade, 20th Anniversary = 9.5" blade. "Magnum" = 10.5":

Got lucky and snagged these:

Now for 2012 completing another full circle

I'm hoping they do a special logo commemorating their 30th.
But the most important is continueing making great knives.
Cheers and "Thank You Jerry and the Busse Crew!"

Nice Argonne's

Something special for the 30th would be cool, maybe a holy terror something ?

Holy Terror would be nice...I would be all over a Nuclear War Boar though!!!

Here's to another 30 years!

+1

Damn Ken, those are some amazing AAs  I'm really liking the knuckles on the proto

And the mammoth tooth are FREAKING AMAZING as well

Thanks Monte! I paid a very hefty price for those.
But this thread isn't about me or my knives. It's about Jerry's Busse Custom shop, the products and service they've provided for 30 years.
And how in this economy he continues to make outstanding knives that are affordable (like all the basics series) and what everyone was asking for (the muk).
Just take a look at their website, Argonne Assault LB with a 10" blade at $600. Back in 02 that's 10 years ago, the CG AA 7.5" blade were $800 and the 9.5 bladed LE's at $1200 and these weren't hollow grind (each one probably grind by hand) and with the new high tech Light Brigade Handles.

30 years?!?! Congrats big guy

on a side note: I am surprised there isn't a whiskey shortage in Ohio
