A brief look back at a terrific few days last Summer.

Give a bumpkin, I am talking exclusively about myself here, a camera and here is what you get. My intent was to put you, you know who you are, into the event.

Stills: Chuck Buck just outside his garage on a happy rainy Summer's day (last day). Banquet cake topper post steak, salmon and terrific speakers (first day). Gift (I have been altered, for the better thankfully :), right down to my DNA by your unbridled generosity) Bowie, custom, from an attending forum member who wanted me to have exactly what I wanted.

Videos from BCCI 25th Anniversary Celebration, chronological order:

0 Young Moose Feeding. Visited a nearby national refuge near Post Falls, Idaho. Foolish of me not to have stayed in the car as I heard something big deeper into the brush. What a great charm this encounter was on the BCCI event doorstep and everyone there who would hold still for it heard about it! Everyone there had their own moose story too.

1 Buck Factory Neighborhood. The factory is in the first few seconds in the distance. I walked this path, at various locations, all hours of the day and never felt like I or my lovely wife were at risk, unlike in the Portland, OR area where I came from.

2 Water, Cataract. Clean-looking water. Post River?

3 John Foresman, President BCCI, Roasted. John never has to prove his bravery in any other way. I was buried safely back in the audience and got the fidgets for him. An amazing performance by everyone and so far from anything I could even dream of doing.

4 Joe Houser Roasted by His Lovely Wife. Put the kids in the other room before you run this one. Adult stuff.

5 Elk Call, Good One. I thought that I heard antlers banging on the banquet room door shortly after that call.

6 Inside Buck Museum, display cases. This museum alone is worth the trip. Really. I apologize for the speed with which I filmed the contents of the cases. I really needed lighting for my camera as there were no lights inside the cases. A real treat.

7 Outside Chuck Buck' Garage, brief. The entire event was to be held outside but it rained real proper. The grounds looked marvelous. How gracious to move us into the garage at the last minute.

8 Inside Chuck Buck's Garage, son presents 300 series (Camillus) gift during lunch. My favorite moment from the event. I have two sons and, while my father was alive, I was a son and the relationship is unique and rich in complexity. And, like all relationships (sigh), takes a lot of hard work to maintain over the years. Illustrative of the Buck family to make this a part of the celebration in its caring, love and affection for each other, all of us and the cutlery. My garage doesn't look like this. You need a shoehorn just to walk thru mine.

Thank you. It is my pleasure.

BCCI is the only club I've ever joined. I hesitated because I wasn't sure that I wanted to be a part of an organization that would have someone like me as a member. :) I did the one year membership at first and became a lifer upon renewal within the year. Deep clover IMHO.
