2013 Wish List (?)

It's not even the end of 2012 and the Spyderco "bug" has already infested my thoughts for next year. I've backed-off of impulsive buys lately and have tried taking a bigger picture outlook while purchasing (collecting :rolleyes:) sharp things. Looks like I'll be up to my elbows in carbon fiber and wear-resistant steels next year!

  • Manix XL Knife Works CPM-S90V
  • Chaparral CTS-XHP
  • Gayle Bradley CPM-M4 (original un-skeletonized liners version if I come across one)
I know a lot of you allocate funds for purchases, so whatcha got on the docket for 2013? :)
 
A green para2 would be a good start

I'm still considering a Vallotton.

If I have the cash, that manix2 XL s90v sounds good too
 
I think in 2013 I'll pick up the Ti Military and Sage 2 but I think I have everything else I could want out of the Spyderco line up as of right now.
 
have the caly 3 and green para2 on pre order, hoping to get the southard and the manix 2 s90v xl

Xm18 3.5, les george vecp fde dlc, spyderco yojimbo 2 in s90v, and MAYBE a spyderco southard. Once I get those knives my collection is complete.... for now.
 
I can only afford so much so it may change as I dont know what may come out mid year, but so far...

I'd take just a regular S30V Para2 with black scales and a DLC blade. That is the one Para2 of the regular S30V line that has evaded me thus far...have all the others! :)
 
1. Clipless Kopa with 2mm stock blade desert ironwood or stag bone.
2. Native5 sprints not many, 2-3 will be fine XPH/smooth Orange G10, B75P/ Brown canvas micarta, 204P/ Dark green G10 all grind to .010" behind the edge.
3. Native5, Damascus blade, SS bolsters, Cocobolo or desert Ironwood scales. No clip
4. Green Para
5. Brown Calypso.
6. Ti Fluted Military
 
I would really like an ATR and a Lil Temp. Neither one is easy to find but that is the fun of it.
 
Things that actually exist in no particular order:

1. Caly 3 CF and Damascus sprint
2. Blue PM2
3. Tuff
4. Gayle Bradley (on order now)

Things I wish existed:

1. Super leaf with upgraded steel and something other than black G10
2. Military with tip up carry
3. Damascus PM2 with silver twill scales (or a Superleaf in the same configuration)

Obviously I'm mourning the passing of the Superleaf. I just got one in the last month and it's my current favorite Spydie. If I lived in a state where autos are legal I'd be wishing for the return of the Citadel as well.

It never ends. Unless you find a hobby to dump funds into and end up selling knives to fund the new hobby.... but, eventually, you will always come back to the cutlery. It's a lifelong affliction :)

SuperLeaf is also on my BUY list. There's no way to pass up a Compression Lock, wire clip, 4mm flat ground leaf Spyderco at the price they're currently going for.............. !
