How many different 50th anniversary tang stamps were used on the 110's, including the special issues and big dealer 110's (SMKW, walmart, Cabela's, etc)? Thanks

Are you sure it was stumps that lost his knives in a fire? Yes, stumps has a 2014 collection but it was oregon who had the fire.

There are two different 50th anniversary tang stamps. One without and one with the word 'BUCK'. The tang stamp without the word BUCK was used from Dec 2013 until about March 2014. BUCK was added to the tang stamp for the rest of the production in 2014.

You're right Roger, my mistake, I edited my post, thanks. Then there's a chance Stumps can repost his info. Preston

It looks like the 2014 Alaskan Guide came with a 3rd stamp, but I don't know how many Buck made? Any ideas about this one?

They also had this one:

drei3ree... I do not consider the first stamp to be a 50th Anniversary stamp. It is just a normal 2014 date code tang stamp. For whatever reason.... Buck did not put the 50th anniversary stamp on the Alaskan Guide 110 until later in the year, about August I think. I am travelling and away from my notes. The only difference I can think of is because of the steel, Buck now laser etches those markings instead of stamping them on the Alaskan Guide.... Maybe someone didn't think to program the laser with the 2014 50th logo.....(tongue in cheek)

Thanks Roger, that's great info. So, out of the ~200K Buck 110's made in 2014, was the Alaskan Guide the only one that had the "normal/standard" date stamp?

Geee whiz Preston, you didn't have to change it... I was just funnin!

It's OK, no problem. It's hard to catch inferences in the written word when you really don't know the person writing. I hope to met you and others in person in the future, maybe the 30th GTG? Preston

The only thing I can say for sure is it is the only one I know of.

Roger--Did you have a chance to look at your notes on the 2014 Alaskan Guide?

Both 110 Alaskan Guide's in my collection with the 2014 anniversary tang stamp have boxes dated 10-07-2014. I was thinking they were earlier than that but no telling when during the year the tang stamp changed.. I do remember driving to Cabela's twice during the year, once in the spring and once during the summer, and both times the AG 110's in stock had the normal 2014 date code. I thought I had noted the box dates on those two previous trips but cannot locate it now. The change would of course been after then.
