I am getting curious; What are the 2014 Bladeforums Stag Jacks going for now? I tried searching but the selling price is usually deleted and Sold put in it's place.

Good carried condition with patina but no abuse. I have the tube (I am original Owner)

I haven't quite decided whether to put it in the classifieds yet but I mostly carry a smaller knife. A lot depends on where the market is. If I do decide to sell it will be listed in the forum Classifieds .

Say it ain't so!

That one there is a beauty. Nicely figured covers, well matched in both color and thickness.

Hard to give an estimate on price since that is a used knife. But even used GECs can fetch a pretty penny. An older knife like that, which is scarcer both due to age and lesser numbers made? Find a number you can live with and ask for it. In all likelihood interested buyers will attempt to negotiate anyways.

what's the rule on selling off BF knives? I know that if you flip one, that you get blacklisted from buying them. But, I don't really know what flipping them means. Are we able to sell our BF knives for a higher price after a certain period of time? If so, what's the time frame?

I have one of these and wouldn't even consider selling it for less than 1,000 which is probably far beyond what it's worth. Needless to say, I'm not selling it lol

Don’t hold me to this, but as best I can remember the rule about not flipping forum knives (and thus selling them for what you have in them and not inflating the price) began with the 2018 Buck 301 Forum Knife (could be a year before or after) - the older ones before the Buck Knife weren’t bought with that gentleman’s agreement. OH

I have had the knife for 10 years; I don't believe that falls under the definition of flipping should I decide to sell. However just what is the rule on older knives and I will abide by it.

10 years used???
No Rules, IMO!! What someone will pay is probably fair!!
But I still say keep it - makes a great heirloom!!! ;)

It's just a confusing rule. I get that we don't want people coming in and buying our forum knives just to sell off immediately to make a profit. That would defeat the purpose. However, I do think that after about a year or so, it should be fair game. Wish someone would make the rules clear.

Well, if more than three years have elapsed then I see no reason why it's anybody else's business bar the seller&buyer, question of dignity. Otherwise how can people ever enhance their collections ??

The Forum '14 is one of my favourites and I got some choice Stag on it too so it's going nowhere 🤣 Nor are my examples from '18 or '20 my other faves  Other years? Let's see.....

really?

you groaned about not making the post count qualifications on the bunny knife, and then after getting one in hand

You cannot sell at your membership level.

Inappropriate Behavior / Minor Trolling

First of all, I didn't groan. Second of all, wanting to know what the rule is and wanted to sell off my knives are two completely different things. I just want to know what the rule is and where the lines are applied. Mind your own business instead of coming on here trying to stir up an argument.

How many warnings will it take for you to realize that we will handle a matter after you make a report?

You will not be permitted to post further in this thread.

They are an in demand, sought after knife. You can easily recoup what you have invested in it. I’ve seen them go for a few different prices of course NIT brings the premium.

After giving it a lot of thought; I believe it's time to let it go on to a new caretaker. I am early 70's and have three young grandsons and only the one Bladeforum's knife so they will get my (preferred) smaller GEC's. This eliminates deciding who gets the 77.

I am listing it the classifieds at what it it worth to me.

WOW, that went quick, two minutes and gone

Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to have that beautiful knife in my care, Paul. I am really excited to own it. I can promise you one thing. If I decide to move it, it is going to one of our fine members here on the porch.

Paul
