Got my Eland, got my Counter Point XL...once this one is out, I'll have all of the 2014 Cold Steel things I was planning on getting, unless I maybe decide to get the new version of the panga, or get a really wild hair and buy a halberd....
 
Never heard that these were coming out!. When doing fma we learned some Krabi Krabong running attacks , scary having one in each had. This is on the must have list.
 
If the guard was removed it would also look a lot like some of the traditional Burmese Dha. That blade was highly regarded by Merrill's Marauders.

I'm waiting for 42Blades to get them in stock so I can get one special grade, I already asked him and he's definitely planning on carrying them. Most places don't seem to have them in yet either, though.

Nope. Thanks to another usps screw up. I ordered mine from knifecenter.com and made sure it shipped fedex, after my recent woes with usps. Well, wadda ya know? Turns out the type of delivery I selected isn't fedex all the way but a deal where fedex hands it off to usps.:rolleyes: Said delivered back on the 14th or 15th, but I never got it. :grumpy::thumbdn: Maybe it'll show up in a couple weeks like the last CS machete of mine usps lost, but I'm not holding my breath. I almost feel like someone is trying to tell me I shouldn't be buying any more Cold Steel machetes...:D
 
Got a phone message from knifecenter yesterday. Apparently some address snafu caused it to be returned to them. Gotta call on Mon. and get it re-shipped. Keep yer fingers crossed, gents! :D:thumbup:
 
So UPS dropped my thai machete off, I was happy until I picked up the box and it was almost cut in half. Pull the poorly packaged machete out and the blade was bent about 15 degrees so back it goes to be replaced. BUT it was pretty dang nice can't wait until I get my replacement
