I read a few posts about people on the fence or asking about BLADE. As a first timer, I must say I didn't know what to expect. A local maker asked me if I wanted to go with them to Atlanta... Umm.. YES!!! We drove through the night Thursday and showed up just after the show opened to the general public. There were tons of knife makers, lotteries, drawings, new releases, most major manufactures, and about darn near anything knife related at the show. I got to meet a few forum members. I snagged a custom Dr.T Mammoth Teardrop. Things really get going at the Renaissance Hotel after the show. We wound up hanging out with some outstanding folks from all aspects of the knife industry. It ended up being an epic trip. I plan to make a return every year!
If you are considering going... GO!! You might need to get a part time job or start saving in the meantime, however.
