2015 Carry Tally: The knives I carried throughout the year and how often

I didn't think it was. Obsessive, :) but not a bad idea. Think alot of people would like to see on paper what people carried the most for the year especially if it's a knife(s) they've been thinking of getting. Could learn alot probably. What you liked what you didn't all in one post. What you got rid of what you kept. I just don't have the discipline and sure would miss keeping track many days. But I'd put back up. Sure others will partake this year.

I got paranoid about people seeing all the knives I have/had, for some reason. haha Maybe I'll put it back up. Thanks for your thoughts, pretty much my original intention for the thread!

I was surprised to see how many traditionals you have/had and how often were carried. Gotta ask is the Griptilian the only Benchmade you have had?

I have a soft spot for traditionals, they're all I used growing up. Also, being at school all year, they're much less conspicuous. Finally, they're just so easy to drop in a pocket and forget about till you need a knife (or something cool to look at to pass the time).

Oh no, just the only one I carried this year. I've had a mini morpho, mini grip, presidio, contego, 940, folding dive knife, and probably others I'm forgetting. I just found the designs they are making don't appeal to me often, and the prices they go for don't often represent a good value in my opinion. They're good knives, I just have kind of moved away from them. There's some I'd definitely like to have, like the vicar, a couple of their balisongs, a couple of their autos, and some of their upcoming models, but on a limited budget I just never seem to fit them in. Also, you saw how many I sell, I like to buy knives to try without worrying that I'll lose a bunch upon reselling, and I haven't had great luck with that with Benchmades.

My main edc all year was a Spiderco Military I'd did switch my secondary from a Leatherman Sidekick to a Rebar.

I wouldn't mind seeing your list. I've thought about doing something similar in an effort to cut down my collection lately. I tend to gravitate towards carrying certain knives often, without really considering why I don't carry the less popular ones and why I still have them.

I'm Necro-ing my own thread here because someone else is considering doing this in the traditional forum and I've been attempting it with better methods again this year also.

I pretty much know which knives I carried regularly in 2018. I don't keep a daily tally as I don't find the information particularly interesting or useful for anything. The only thing that I actually maintain a daily tally personally is rainfall at my home. I find that interesting, but I suppose one could do the same thing with knives or anything else.

At the beginning of 2018 I gave flippers another chance and carried a Buck Vantage for about a month.

Then I went back to the 112 and carried one pretty much every day for the rest of the year.

I usually carry a smaller blade as well and that's been approximately 90% Buck 284 and 10% Victorinox Tinker. I'm trying to make a concious effort to carry the Tinker more but the Buck is usually what I grab.

I carried a Buck 55 the 3 or 4 days I had to wear a suit
