Here's my take, not that anyone asked

The blade shape is nice and 3/16" is a good thickness for a lot of things, as it should slice and chop well enough. But, it's way too heavy (28 oz.) for "fighting", which seems the intended use. That's a dedicated chopper. The Gurkha, at 22.5 oz. would be much better suited, and the FFG would likely slice and dice better than the saber grind IMHO. I don't like the crazy "D" guard handle. This doesn't really seem that useful unless you're fighting blade on blade in parrying style. That seems about as unlikely as suddenly finding yourself time-warped into a pirate captain. And, the skull crusher spike. It seems trying to hit someone with the pommel could be as dangerous to the user as it is to the intended target. I don't mean to sound too judgmental, as I like CS, but this one seems a bit silly. But, I must say I don't really have any interest in or knowledge of knife fighting and this one is obviously designed to please that crowd. It could be ignorance on my part. Though I'll add that for centuries the same basic designs were used for wood's work and combat with nary a change other than slight tweaking (mainly by the Brits).
Here's what I would like to see CS do with khukuri:
1) Try to put a good, solid handle on the Gurkha blade. Micarta, G10, something along those lines. A well shaped, ergonomic, smooth khukuri handle is a wonderful thing and is really an important part of the design. It helps take advantage of the benefits of the shape. This is about the only complaint I repeatedly hear about the Gurkha, so CS should really look into it.
2) Bring back the LTC. I have the 1/8" version and it's the shiznits! It may be the perfect bush blade. Tough, light, easily handled, and can slice grass and chop gnarly wood with ease. Maybe the 3/16" version was better. I can't say. But, I'd work to bring back something which filled that obviously popular niche. Also, see above about a solid handle.
For a modern do-it-all khukuri, the Gurkha is unsurpassed in my opinion. I'd work on lightly tweaking that design. Thanks.
