I'm new to the forum and maybe I'm doing a review that's already been done, but from my search I didn't find to much info on the ML (Mini Lawman). So, I'd like to contribute my findings with forum. This is my "first take" on my very first "Cold Steel" knife. This is the CTS-XHP steel version. First thing I can say is... very sharp blade. I accidently tried to close the knife one handed and literally the blade dropped ever so softly on the back of my index finger and then... a small cut that draws blood. Very sharp. It's only 2.5" in blade length but definitely feels like a bigger knife in hand. For the grip, after viewing a lot of youtube video reviews, they note on how the G-10 material was very rough. Basically too much grip and it was ripping their pants when clipped. I found it to be the exact opposite. The G-10 has a very good grip but not rough to where it's ripping your clothing. Very nice to the touch, in my hands. And the finger grooves fit very nicely into my hands. A lot of people were not feeling these grooves, saying it was uncomfortable, feels sharp to hold, etc. Not the case with me. Pretty much fit like a glove and when holding it both ways, it was very secure. Felt really good. Also another thing people were saying was that the handle was very thick for such a small blade. Again, to me it's not bulky or thick at all. It's a 1/4" thick (grip, blade/lock, grip). Pretty slim if you ask me. The pocket clip on the other hand, yes... it does expose the knife about an inch, a little less maybe. Probably not a good thing as if it's clipped, you are radioing out "you have a knife". But I just keep in pocketed, it's so light in weight that you know it's there and it doesn't bother you at all. The blade action is very surprisingly smooth, but being so new to knives, I'm sure there are smoother ones out there. I could open the blade with a wrist snap, no problem and with the thumb stud, very easily. The locking mechanism feels very solid, as you know when it's locked secured. You can feel it locking up, which is something I like very much. Overall a good utility tool. Pretty good purchase as Cold Steel is having a sale on quite of few knives at the moment. If you're on the fence, I say try one. It's not a intimidating looking blade either, which is what I prefer. Don't want my wife/kids to be scared when taking it out. Looks very sleek and nice in my eyes. I hope this helps someone out...
