Here's the photos I took at the Blade Show a few weeks ago. This was my 5th Blade Show and my 4th year inside the main room in Booth 537. Similar to what I've heard from pretty much everyone (makers and suppliers alike) this was my busiest and best year so far.

Here's the photos - click each one to see the full size version.

Aleksandr Peshkov - This nickel silver belt buckle is CRAZY! The detail is beyond belief.

Bruce Bingenheimer
- Feather Damascus and Walrus Ivory Bowie

Collaboration knife between Robert Carter and Elijah Isham.

Here's another with different materials.

Cliff Parker
- 'Grim Reaper' liner lock folder with Mammoth Ivory

I made a few folders that I had up for sale at the show. I made the Damascus and the inlays in the Pearl Carbon Fiber are Titanium Texture-Tech. Clip and hardware are Titanium.

Here's another one I made for the show. S35V blade, Zirconium front bolsters, Titanium mid bolsters, shredded carbon fiber. This knife is my first attempt at a screwless design, and it also features my "Watch-Band" back bar.

Here's the last one I made for the show. S35V blade, Damascus bolsters and shredded carbon fiber handle. Back bar is 2 pieces of Zirconium with a floating blue Tritium vial. Clip and hardware are Titanium.

Daniel Galloway
- Titanium bolster lock with carbon fiber and Timascus back bar and clip.

Here's one of his gear tooth bolster lock folders. Clip is blackened Titanium.

Dave Armour - This is he 'Hybrid Seax' design.

David S. Kulis - That seems like a whole lot of Dremel Tool time! S35V blade, Zirconium bolsters and clip, Titanium back bar.

'Dragonskin' Damascus blade and back bar, 'Nebula' Damascus bolsters and clip, Mammoth Tooth scales.

'Dragonskin' Damascus blade & floating back bar with 6 Tritium vials, Zirconium bolsters and clip, Mammoth tooth scales.

'Dragonskin' Damascus blade and back bar.

Dr. David Taber made this paired set of folders with cross-cut Mammoth ivory.

David Vickers - PSF27 blade and stabilized Chittum handle.

Don Hanson III - This was brought to me by a customer of Don's and he thought it was worthy of a photo. The color in that ivory is ridiculous!

Eric Ochs - 'Hakkapella' pattern Damasteel blade, Pearl carbon fiber bolsters, Mammoth ivory scales, antique rag micarta back bar.

Here's another using Timascus bolsters, clip and back bar. Pearl carbon fiber scales.

Fischer Brothers - 'Launch' model folder with S90V blade, Titanium with KG Ceramic coating. Super-Conductor back bar and pivot collar.

Glen Are Hovin - 'Storm' model, small gentlemen's flipper folder. Black pearl pivot collars.

J.D. van Deventer - This is a larger thumb flicker folder.

Jeff Park - 'Bones' folder with 'Bjorkmans' twist Damasteel, Zirconium frame and back bar.

Jess Hoffman - Small utility hunter with Blackwood carbon fiber scales and a Kydex sheath.

Jim Coffee - Damascus hunter with tooled sheath.

Here's another with Damascus and Stag.

Jim Martindale - Desert Ironwood hunter.

Here's a smaller bird & trout knife with a nice tooled leather sheath.

Jim Provost - CPM154 hunter with an inverted blue pine cone handle.

Here's a tanto with a twist pattern Damasteel blade and curly maple handle.

Full tang tactical design with 'Hugin' pattern Damasteel and black G10.

Pair of neck knives with 'Odin Heim' Damasteel blades. Buffalo horn (top) and stabilized purple Mammoth tooth (lower).

Mike Zscherny - 'Bolide' (designed by Faisal Yamin) model folder with Damascus blade and back bar. Cerakote Titanium bolsters with Timascus mid bolsters and clip, Westinghouse Micarta scales. 18k gold dots in the blade.

This is Mike's 'Eagle' design with Damascus blade, Cerakote Titanium bolsters, Mokume mid bolsters and clip, carbon fiber scales.

Here's a slip joint with stag scales and stainless bolsters engraved by Mitch Moschetti.

Peter Carey - Patriotic themed utility folder with linen micarta scales.

Peter Martin - 'Nebula' (designed by Faisal Yamin) model with Damasteel blade, Moku-Ti window frames, back bar and clip, and black pearl. Titanium hardware.

Here's one of his widely recognized 'QSB' folders with a new twist - a Damasteel BOTTLE OPENER! Every piece of Damasteel is heat treated so the colors come out the same after acid etch.

Here's another 'QSB' with his signature 'Lava-Lamp' damascus blade, Meteorite bolsters and carbon fiber scales.

Here's another 'QSB' with the bottle opener feature. 'Lava-Lamp' damascus blade, Moku-Ti bolsters and clip, Titanium hardware.

This one utilizes the handle material known as 'Matrix'.

'Voyager' (designed by Faisal Yamin) model with 'Lava-Lamp' damascus blade, Moku-Ti bolsters and clip, and Westinghouse Micarta handle material.

This is a fine example of Peter's latest model, the 'XRS' (designed by me, his son, Cory Martin). 'Lava-Lamp' damascus blade and floating back bar, Zirco-Ti scales with Zirconium inlays.

Here's another 'XRS' with Zirconium bolsters and carbon fiber scales. Titanium clip and hardware.

Robert Flynt - 31 layer clad Stainless Steel blade with VG10 core. Nickel silver guard and pommel, gorgeous Stag handle material.

Steel Flame - Spinners are the latest craze it seems, and Steel Flame just set the bar high, VERY high!

Steve Dumchus - Titanium frame lock with a Moku-Ti show side and clip. San Mai damascus blade and back bar.

Tom Ploppert - Very clean 3-blade folder with engraving by Mitch Moschetti.

Tony Karlsson - 'Thor' Damasteel blade and back bar, Doug Ponzio damascus bolsters, Westinghouse Micarta scales. Tony also put in a thin Sterling Silver liner which has been textured. The Titanium liners are also textured and anodized.

Travis Moore - Damascus hunter with Mammoth Ivory, always a classic!

Les Voorhies / Peter Martin - The 'VAMP' (Voorhies and Martin Project). Damasteel blade, inlays and pivot collars, Moku-Ti scales and back bar.

Here's another 'VAMP' with a Zirconium frame.

Stan Wilson / Todd Fischer Sr. - Collaboration between 2 legendary makers! 'Blackout' Damascus (by Chad Nichols) blade, Titanium bolster lock with hidden hardware. Moku-Ti scales, back bar and clip.

And yet another with 'Bjorkmans' Damasteel blade & Moku-Ti scales, back bar and clip.

Here's another with Blackwood carbon fiber scales.

This was a very fun year to be a part of the Blade Show. I look forward to next year and can't wait to see what knives will be brought my way for photography.

Thanks for looking.

Fantastic photos of some outrageously beautiful knives. Thanks. This eye candy provided a great way to start my day!

An impressive body of work by you for your clients. Bravo!

I've often said: "Superstar knives make ME look good!" You've shown an incredible set of GREAT knives.

Good thread.

What an array of knives!!!! Your photography does them justice. Looks like you had a great show!

Incredible knives and incredible photographs.

Can I ask the more knowledgeable: how do the knifemakers get those bright colors on the steel blades? I'm looking at the David Kulis and Peter Martin knives. I'm used to seeing anodized titanium or aluminum but not colorful steel like that.

The colors are achieved through hot bluing. Different types of steel produce different colors.

There are some exquisite knives!! WOW!! Great pix too. Thank you for sharing them.

Thanks for posting the pics. Your "watch band" backbar knife is a knockout. Great addition to someones collection.

Thanks severtecher, that one got picked up A LOT at the Blade Show but it came home with me actually...nobody pulled the trigger and bought it. Creating the watch band look is relatively easy, it's the finish time that is the hard part. The grooves are sanded to 1200 grit, the flats are 2000 grit. TEDIOUS to say the least!
