The Solvang Knife Show is a special show for the top-tier makers and collectors in our world. Held every two years, on alternate years from the similar AKI, each prominent maker is expected to provide a small selection of knives, and they are almost all purchased through selective drawing.

We are excited to announce that our next Solvang Show will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Solvang's Hotel Corque.
The list of makers scheduled to attend below demonstrates this will be the premier knife show in the world in 2018.
This will be an almost all-drawing show, although each maker will have the opportunity to sell one knife by "bid-up".
All attending buyers will enter the showroom at 10:00 AM, beginning a three-hour viewing period. During this time, buyers will enter their names into the drawing boxes of any knives they wish to purchase. At 1:00 PM, all makers will draw names for each knife, and bidders will see who wins the right to purchase.
The outstanding group of artists attending understand this is their opportunity to showcase their finest work, so you can be sure there will be many, many works of art presented.
Being a one-day event, we need to limit the number of buyers to 150. If you would like to attend, please contact Dave Harvey at Nordic Knives. Invitations will be mailed out in January of 2018. Cost to attend is $125, and $75 for a non-bidding partner/spouse. This will include a fully hosted lunch during the show, and entry to our BBQ and wine event, held at the Gainey Vineyard Saturday evening. Pre-registration is required.

This year I am VERY fortunate to have my wife Susan joining me (her first time to CA!) We will have only two days after the show to drive and enjoy some coastline and more.
I hope to see some of you there. I will, as usual, be working and VERY busy before and during the Show. Then the AMAZING post-show banquet is a chance for ALL to relax.
