The Good News: A week before the NYCKS (Nov 22/23) I loaded up with work in my studio to complete before I went...

The Bad News: I had a MAJOR hernia on the Friday eve/Saturday. Emergency room, hospital stay over a day. (Most pain I have ever endured overnight. Ugghh.) DON'T DO ANYTHING they said....

The Good News: By Thursday I was up and at em'(slowly) and ready to do this show (which is only an hour from my home)

The Bad News: Not much. I got it ALL done, but I NEVER set foot in the actual show. Trevor and Susan did schlepping. Moving too slowly to wander. (Joe Paranee's video was GREAT for me!)

The Good News: Susan and Trevor worked HARD for me at the show. Home, I am recovering quickly and have even started working out again. Back at it!

So, this thread is a mix of Studio projects and NYCKS projects, and they were all captured within two days work. Busy days!

I have found I am not a great barometer of how a show performs. When I am busy it's good for ME, but I may be busy because it's slow out there in the Show Hall. Truth.

I am told the show was GREAT for many: Attendees and table-holders. Well, that's what we like!

No surprise, @FiftyFiftyProductions always does a terrific job! My NEXT Show will be in Las Vegas with them in January.

I'll start posting next thread.

I'll begin with the 'studio' projects. Just outstanding pieces!

Now on to the SHOW!

A longstanding tradition is a visit by the Bennett family with mom Carol's DELICIOUS cookies. This time they were all chocolate, all the time. We ate every one and thank this outstanding family (Bill, Bob, Chris, and even Veronica(?)) for the visit and gift!

I have ALWAYS supported and volunteered my services to KnifeRights.org. My work is minimal compared with these fine MAKERS who each donate a knife for the LARGE fundraiser in July. Please support these makers and Knife Rights for making a difference!

I am *almost* done. I have a LOT of images still unedited from Corrado Moro of a complicated and INSANE 'Star Wars' Enterprise folding knife. I will post when I can.

In the meantime, you get to admire many of these first! (BEFORE I post them to my Instagram. ;))

Susan, Trevor, and I thank you for your support, both at my studio and at a Show.

Coop

sorry to hear about the health issues...hope you are feeling better!

Thanks again for all the great images and promoting the knife world with your work

Bill Flynn

Thanks a lot Coop. Great pictures! Be careful.

Congratulations on the Knife magazine article. It was well done. It was nice to see your family and learn how you make knives look great. A well deserved tribute. Your family must be "tickled pink."

Hey B brownshoe , thank you! funny, I was just thinking how I got a TON of "Attaboy's" (and I SO appreciate them!), yet you are the first to tell me you actually read it and liked the storyline. :)

Much appreciation.

Funny you say that. I was going to post a couple of days ago, but I hadn't finished the article. Figured I'd better read the whole thing first :) so I waited. It's one of Knife's "keeper" articles.

Superb cutlery and photography!

I look forward to Jim's posts every show.
No shortage of fantastic knife makers

get well soon!

Thanks for sharing the skill and artistry of these fine makers as well as your own. Thanks also for allowing me to take a few minutes of your time so I could say hello. Feel better soon.

Hey Jim,
Had to miss this year due to a conference. Thanks for the visual tour. Beautiful as usual! Hope you are feeling better soon. Best to your family.

Daum, Coop.....ya think it was from launching that ‘Vette at around 10K and that 4 G’s you were pulling off the line and down the track?! :D

Not only me but, ALL of us are overjoyed you were able to put your Madd Skillz to work at the show and MANY THANKS to your wonderful family for doing the leg work....a stupendous job as always, almost like being there buddy.
