I already asked this in the Spyderco Forums, but with the reveal coming I thought it would be fun to post here to about what you think is on the way for 2020 :)

Here's a few of mine:

Military LW: The wire clip will finally offer an tip up option

Native Chief: It will get a steel upgrade. I don't think it will be the LC200N people been asking for due to the release of the Siren in those materials. I'm thinking S35VN or MAYBE the new S45VN? :D

Shaman in Maxamet...It will be very exclusive and it will instantly sell out.

Waved Endela: If the Dragonfly got a wave it's only natural to think this one will to!

Some wishful thinking. A knife with the same mechanism as a Smock, but a much more tacticool design.

Not one of my predictions. But a lot of people believe there will be a PM2 LW, which makes sense considering the popularity of the PM3 LW. I just hope they at least give it two bronze washer.

What are some of your predictions/wishes for 2020?

Weirdest thing happened...I wrote up the post. But it posted my previous post from the Spyderco forums? So I quickly edited, and it almost seemed like the edit didn't go through.

Spyderco should stop making any other models except Shaman and PM2 with various steels and handle materials/colors, for 2020.

On a serious note, I hope the configuration of Military to stay as is, just change the steel and/or handle material. Personally, I do not care about comp lock or wire clip on the Millie. Micarta scales and tool steels would be great.

I hope Delica 4 with g10/cf scales and more steel variants are to be produced with the price around $110-$120.

Never tried the Chief. It is a folder interesting to me but somehow not interesting enough for me to pull the trigger. Some limited runs of it would be more interesting but again, the price point would be a big factor.

I can't help think that S30V has become old hat and people are bored with it. I know a few people who won't pay over approx $150 us no matter how cool the knife is. And I know some people who won't buy S30V no matter what. So both the Native Chief and the regular Military I think are suffering from the S30V blah blues. I personally like S30V and it doesn't bother me, but your right they need some steel diversity that doesn't break the bank.

I feel like people who don't buy S30V choose not to because they want something better, in which case a budget steel version of the Millie isn't going to get sales from that market. Could be wrong. There is also the 110V model that's still around, so S30V isn't the only thing out there

I’m hoping for a production version of the crucarta shaman so I can get my grimy little mitts on it...

I’d really love to see some vanax on a brand new model. Something real thin behind the edge.

Also, the Endela will be mine in whatever sprint steel they choose this year.

It's hard to say, I think there was quite a few people who bought the PM3 LW simply because it was something different. I don't think S30V is going to be going anywhere as most knife companies need a steel that can still be sharpened by the avg person.

I hope that spyderco will finaly produce the PoltergeistWorks designs, that they licensed. Here you can see the details: http://www.poltergeistworks.pl/ (go to Models)

What does "licensed by Spyderco" mean?

Personally im not a huge fan of those knife designs. I really cant imagine Spyderco producing those without some changes, especially the clips.

Spyderco owns the Design of these knives.

More M4. I really like how Spyderco does this steel.

I also hope they keep the Stretch 2 alive. This model is excellent.

Here's hoping for a ti/Damascus Dragonfly 2 for 2020! Screw together construction like the endura and delica before it.
Or a super gold df2, but that's more of a wish list item then a prediction.

The shaman cruwear/micarta was really popular. I think something like that is down the pipeline again. I would love to have a micarta/cruwear military myself. Me personally, all black, but I'll take what I can get.

A Ti and Damascus df2 would be awesome.
Or carbon fiber and Damascus df2.

A sprint of the g10 df2 would be good too.

I’d like spyderco to flex on a sprint Gayle Bradley 2.
A stainless blade steel of some new exotic flavor.
Or Damascus (no extra writing/logo)
Cool cf/Ti/wood scales. bolsters or inlays
I think the gb2 is one of spydercos best looking knives.
I’d like to see a really fancy one.
Kind of like they did with the 40th anniversary native 5. (Minus the added text on the blade)

I can't agree what BuMs said, in fact I think it is only a statement that their design-usage of the opening hole is licenced by Spyderco.

He has other knive with the "Spyder-Hole" on his Webside, an there are not licenced by Spyderco.
