Is anyone seeing activity as far as sold out items being re-stocked? Not me. I've been keeping an eye out for a Trail Hawk, and have not seen anything. The only reasons I can think of are 1) supply chain snafu, 2) GSM is somehow bogging things down. Are we in danger of skipping a year? I hope not.

I called GSM customer service last year and got a hold of someone relatively quickly. My only suspicion is even if you do get through, you’ll be given a generic answer (ie. supply chain problem). I asked about a specific vendor…if they are an authorized CS dealer and to my surprise got a very quick answer. The woman was actually polite and helpful.

One more thing Dogstar (and this is just my opinion) with the way things are going in Eastern Europe, I personally would not pre-order anything expensive that’s made in Taiwan. If the “shizzle hits the fizzle” in Taiwan (like a lot of people are predicting) then who’s to tell about the supply chain then. Darn shame if that happens, really appreciate my Taiwan made knives…well made and priced very fairly.

I hear you on this. It'd be nice if some models were back in stock.

I've seen and heard from dealers that April into May should see some restocks, etc...., but that could change. There's a lot of "It's on the boat" type talk all around :/ :).

I never pre-order anything, certainly not knives. It's bad enough that there are no knife stores around anywhere, except a few places like Smoky Mountain or Atlanta Cutlery, so that we all have to rely on internet photos or videos. But to put a down payment on a knife that doesn't even exist yet? I can't understand it.

Bought 2 Master Hunters in San Mai. They came in the new branded box, but still made in Japan. Wrapped up kinda haphazardly in brown paper, with the blade in a sleeve and sheath in plastic.

The versions made in Tawain in CPM-3V used to be a steal, and in a thinner blade profile as well.

I should have bought several back then, as it is a fantastic do-it-all knife.

This guy is still listing Hoback knives as made in the USA. As most of the knife world now knows, this claim is FALSE. Hoback knives are made in China from unknown materials.

I am disappointed to see any dealer continuing this scam.
You should take it up with Spark Spark . As the owner of Bladeforums.com, I'm sure he will welcome your input.

Yeah actually thanks for the heads up on this, I didn't realize it was on there. Considering I had to prepay for product that was falsely advertised, I'm not happy with the situation either.
